Join this symplectic geometry zoominar where Rémi Leclercq from Université Paris-Saclay explores the local persistence of Lagrangian intersections. Discover when Lagrangian submanifolds admit neighborhoods with the property that any Hamiltonian-deformed copy contained in the neighborhood must intersect the original Lagrangian. Learn about counterexamples in dimensions 6 and higher, as well as sufficient conditions guaranteeing such neighborhoods for many Lagrangians. The talk also covers how these conditions ensure exactness of nearby Lagrangians and presents additional applications of this phenomenon. This presentation is based on joint work with Marcelo Atallah, Jean-Philippe Chassé, and Egor Shelukhin, and is part of the IAS/Princeton/Montreal/Paris/Tel-Aviv Symplectic Geometry Zoominar series scheduled for May 02, 2025.
