A little dated in terms of WAZUH as the overall interface from 4.2 to 4.8 has had a major overhaul.
However!
It is a fairly noteworthy introductory course. The coinciding SSH attack during the training demo really aided in the demonstration on the delivery of how to utilize the SIEM. -
I recently completed this course and found it incredibly insightful for anyone interested in blue team operations. Hackersploit does a fantastic job breaking down intrusion detection concepts using Wazuh, an open-source SIEM platform. The step-by-step demonstrations make it easy to follow along, even for those new to security monitoring. I particularly appreciated the practical approach—setting up agents, analyzing logs, and creating custom rules. The integration with Linode also adds a real-world cloud deployment perspective. Highly recommended for aspiring security analysts or anyone looking to strengthen their defensive skills.
