Introduction to O-RAN and Open Source in O-RAN

I recently completed a comprehensive Open RAN course, which provided an in-depth understanding of the principles, architecture, and practical applications of Open Radio Access Networks. The course covered the key concepts of disaggregated network elements, interoperability, and virtualization, helping me understand how traditional RAN components can be modularized and standardized for better flexibility and efficiency. I gained insights into network programmability, integration with cloud platforms, and the use of automation for optimization and monitoring. The hands-on exercises were particularly valuable, allowing me to simulate real-world scenarios and explore how Open RAN can enhance network performance and reduce operational costs. Overall, this course strengthened my technical knowledge and fueled my interest in next-generation mobile network technologies.
