Join this remote symplectic geometry zoominar where Vinicius Ramos from the Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) explores integrable systems and toric contact forms on ℝℙ3. Learn how the integrability of geodesic flow on ellipsoids of revolution can be used to establish symplectomorphisms between the unit disk bundle of such ellipsoids and toric domains. Discover how Ramos and collaborators Ferreira and Vicente obtained symplectomorphisms between the entire unit disk bundle and toric fillings of ℝℙ3, which can be either concave or convex depending on the original ellipsoid. The talk also covers generalizations of this approach to other mathematical situations. This IAS/Princeton/Montreal/Paris/Tel-Aviv Symplectic Geometry Zoominar is scheduled for April 25, 2025, at 9:15am.
