in this course i have learned about basic concepts of veterinary microbiology laboratory routines which help to isolate and identify bacterial species. some of the key concepts include bacterial identification techniques using gram staining based on cell wall characteristics and composition as gram positive and negative. acid fast staining to identify bacteria which possess a waxy mycolic acid on their walls from those which do not possess. capsule staining, flagella staining, endospore staining, ets to identify bacterial external appendages such as capsule, flagella, etc
