This free online course was very useful and informative. The lessons were well structured and easy to understand, even for beginners. Each topic was explained clearly with examples, which made learning interesting and engaging. The course helped me understand the basics of media and editing and also improved my confidence in using digital tools. The videos and activities were simple but effective, and the pace of the course was suitable for students. I liked that I could learn at my own time and revise the lessons whenever needed. Overall, this course was a great learning experience, and receiving a free certificate at the end motivated me to complete it successfully.

Very helpful, the course went through many of the basics needed for beginners to get into animation. The teacher was extremely thorough and comprehensive throughout. Would recommend to anybody looking to get into animation whether that be 2D or 3D

It was an amazing lesson on the animation process that really opened my eyes to the intricacies involved. I learned how crucial it is to start with a solid story, as it sets the foundation for everything that follows. The storyboarding phase was particularly enlightening; it helped me visualize the flow of my narrative and think about timing. Creating an animatic added another layer of depth, showing me how important pacing is for the overall feel of the animation.

Working on character and background design was both challenging and rewarding, as it allowed me to bring my ideas to life. The actual animation process taught me about the significance of keyframes and how in-betweens create smooth movement. Finally, the post-production stage tied everything together, emphasizing the importance of editing and sound design. Overall, this lesson was incredibly valuable, giving me a newfound appreciation for the artistry and skill required in animation!

While it is good for introducing a person to the absolute basics of the process, it doesn't provide much in-depth information about each step. Many times throughout the videos, the instructor will reference other videos that were not part of the course. I did learn a bit at each step, the last few videos taught me the most, but I don't think this is a course for people just starting out with animation.

It’s very simple but informative, and gives out the most important lessons, while providing links and other videos if fellow students want to go deeper. This is a great starter animation video that doesn’t take long, funny, and just gives the helping hand to lift you up at the start and tour guide you away. Of course, this doesn’t mean it will offer or recommend apps, or tell you what makes your genre considered quality (just beware).
