This was an excellent and inspiring talk. It clearly explained what microfinance is and how it makes a real difference in the lives of people living in poverty. The examples were easy to understand, and it showed how small loans can lead to big changes. Anyone interested in simple yet powerful ways to help the poor should watch this. It is a must-see video.

The course is impact full, great insight and exposed my knowledge on the need for micro finance institutions to not only be lenders to the poor or needy but also be able to train, monitor and supervise then to manage the little resources available prudently, save and if possible reinvest to make some profits for themselves.
  • This "How Microfinance Can Help the Poor" by Dr. Laxmi Remer is an outstanding transparency to all who have watched it and telling all the relations of MFIs from its downside to its good side. Yet a lot of people are mistaken in MFIs as only a money lender and it's very saddening to observe. MFIs must show and give financial lectures to the poor.

This lesson highlights the importance on being financially literate despite being poor. It's really crucial nowadays to understand certainties and uncertainties with regard to money/finance. In knowing so, as Dr. Laxmi Remer stated, "Microfinance should be the steppingstone of poor people / borrowers in building a financial stability."

I am very much delighted to have this opportunity to learn about microfinance much as I am the owner of micro finance company.

The subject of how it helps the poor has opened my eyes and deepened my undersstanding. It gave me a sense of making the business while taking into consideration that I dont under estimate the the right of the borrowers.

the clear understanding the contributions it makes to the wealth of my nation. and also taking into considerations the rules and regualtions guiding it.
