Absolutely fantastic lecture and Nick is a fantastic lecturer! Something like this could be the alternate to sleepy time tea but this was a lecture that Nick made worth following in detail. In depth discussion on Pacific plate motion and genesis and with my interests in the evolution of the western Alberta rift (Meso-Proterozoic ) and collision boundary and Cretaceous intermediate intrusives and to volcanics of the Flathead Valley and Crowsnest Pass and thermal genesis of carbon dioxide rich natural gas ranging from the BC extension to the northern Montana limit to the south and the extensive Laramide thrust faulting generating the Lewis Overthrust in this region in the Cretaceous makes for a very fascinating option to the genesis of intermediate magmatic bodies in an area where intermediate magma shouldn't exist opens up some very interesting possibilities in the tectonic development of this area this far east of the Pacific Plate. Will be listening much more to Nick on tectonics and highly recommend his lectures to anyone interested in the evolution of western North America and the tectonics of the Pacific Plate.
