Heliophysics and Space Weather: From Solar Dynamics to Geomagnetic Storms

Heliospheres and Weather in Space taught by Proffesor James Klimchuk, Nasa, Goddard Space Fight Center was a good course with alot of detailed information about the sun and it's coronal mass ejections (CME's) that are sending dangerous particles to the Earth's magnetic sphere's that could erupt many of our technological systems an electrical systems that of which there would be possible power outages causing blackouts and flight delays interupting satellites for radio, phones and television. This could also cause delays in observational equipment and grid disturbances among other disturbances that could cause inconveniences for millions resulting in many trajedies along with shortages due to traffic delays and lighting outages and also the real concern of heightened radiation from CME's and large CME's ejection in an area of 1 billion tons of particles and matter into the system as it moves from the heliosphere to magnetosphere on into the ionosphere and the troposphere, leaving damage and increased radiation throughout.
The will radiation will increase expotentially as the CME's increase and the damage grows making it more difficult to live and work in both in space and on the ground as the radiation and UV damage increases special metal housing and space suits with anti-radiation guards will be needed to live and work in space without dying. This course makes a good case for the study of CME's and how we could overcome and prepare for the future and damage related to this. If we could understand what's happening to our sun we could reduce the damage to our planet and the heliospheres and the sun itself, avoiding a far off fate that could cause supernova like damage to our solar system and areas around (up to 11 par secs). Thank you for the valuable information delivering warnings of future damage due to CME's that could require more study and observation in this area and preparation for potential damage.
