Weight Management: You’ve correctly identified that solids control is vital for "weighting" the mud. However, remember that if you remove too much of the weighting agents (like Barite) along with the waste solids, you can lose hydrostatic pressure.
Environmental Impact: Modern systems emphasize the "Closed-Loop" approach to minimize waste and recycle as much fluid as possible, which is both a cost-saver and an environmental necessity. -
