Are We Failing Our Boys and Men? - Addressing Male Academic and Economic Challenges

This has been an educative video highlighting the modern challenges boys and men are facing today that is stunting their masculine development. A few lessons that I have picked out are:

1. We nee more positive male role models and actual stories - The narrative out there is that men are failing and doing badly in their roles and responsibilities. But that is false because it is not all men. Young men today need to see and interact with men who having a positive effect in their communities.

2. There needs to be a national framework that deals with masculine issues - The obstacles many boys and men are facing is largely systemic and there is no framework that helps boys in the development despite the heavy statistics on crime, suicide, depression, cyberbullying that are caused by young men which are affecting boys today. The only known framework where boys get support is the internet i.e. Social Media, Social media influencers and AI Chatbots.

3. Many men are lonely - Men need to be coached on how to relate with their fellow brothers. Since they do not know, they keep to themselves and as a result of trying to grapple with their struggles alone end up silently quitting out of frustration and to cope with the stress they end up acquiring a habit e.g. Doom scrolling, alcohol, drugs etc.
