Explore the fascinating journey of Earth's formation and early evolution in this 55-minute conference talk from the AGU Fall Meeting 2019. Delve into the process of planetary accretion, the Moon's formation, and the development of magma oceans. Examine how Earth differentiated into rocky and metallic components, generated a dynamic magnetic field, and solidified from its initially molten state. Investigate the evolution of the atmosphere and hydrosphere, and how these processes led to the emergence of habitability. Discover the connection between Earth's early development and the proliferation of life, including discussions on past mass extinction events. Gain insights from experts in geology, geophysics, and planetary science as they present cutting-edge research on the origins of our planet and its transformation into a life-sustaining world.

The forum was interesting though I feel the title "Accretion of the Earth - Early Planetary Evolution was not a particularly accurate description of the symposium.I was more so a discussion of highly hypothetical models of accretionary processes on a planetary basis and did not really discuss in any real depth accretionary processes inherent to the Earth and terrestrial processes involved. Was ok but not what I was expecting.
