Principles of Management is the cornerstone and introductory course of management disciplines. It is a science that systematically studies the laws and general methods of management activities. It is a synthesis of management thoughts, principles, skills and methods. Through the study of this course, students can master the basic concepts, principles and methods of management, understand the development and trends of management theories, correctly grasp the management theory system, understand the characteristics of the discipline of management, and recognize the significance of management theories. The course of Principles of Management mainly elaborates from two levels from low to high: the first level is the connotation of management, including management introduction, the development of management theories, the basic principles and methods of management, and management environment and ethics; the second level is the management process, including the functional activities of management such as decision-making, planning, organizing, leading, motivating, communicating and controlling.
