This course is designed for English majors, aiming to enable students, through learning and practice, to grasp the introductions to Taishan's nature and ecology, geology and geography, customs and culture, as well as the different stages of the development of foreign language literature on Taishan, with the specific content of each stage, main characteristics, representative figures, and their contributions to the overseas communication of Taishan culture. Students will be able to critically examine the records of Taishan culture in foreign language literature, understand the differences in the expression of Taishan culture between China and foreign countries, and strive to seek common ground between Chinese and foreign cultures based on Taishan culture. They will also acquire the ability to accurately explain Taishan culture in a foreign language and engage in cross-cultural communication.
