The textbook-Management Information System(9th edition) is published by Peking University Press, and you can also refer to "Management Information System -Moving Business Forward" published by WILEY Press.
Under the guidance of the goal of "trinity" of knowledge, ability and quality, the curriculum achieves the knowledge goal with "problem-oriented and interactive teaching", and achieves the ability goal with "learning by doing and project research". Specifically, it is broken down into the following six learning objectives:
(1) Be able to use the basic principles of information systems to identify and discover problems in modern enterprise management, use literature search methods to analyze related problems, and propose effective solutions to complex systems.
(2) Master the basic principles and methods of the system, the basic methods of system design and be able to reflect the sense of innovation in the design process, consider social, security, legal and cultural factors, and be able to find problems for specific system solutions, raise problems and conduct preliminary analysis of the possibility of improvement; Analyze and evaluate the design scheme of the system.
(3) Master the use of modern network information technology and related software, reasonably select modern tools according to various constraints of actual enterprise management problems, and use corresponding technologies to conduct market research, literature search, information acquisition and analysis of enterprise problems.
(4) Be able to use project management principles and economic decision-making methods for system design, operation and management plan design and implementation.
(5) Be able to communicate and communicate effectively.
(6) Be able to have innovative spirit and innovative ability.
According to the training goals and positioning of students at different academic levels, the knowledge chapter courses can be set according to the different requirements of the teaching objectives, and the setting of hours and teaching links are different, such as accounting, international trade, industry and commerce and other majors are mainly the cognition and understanding of information systems, and the learning hours can be set to 32 hours, including 8 hours of experiments; For majors such as e-commerce, it is required to further master the development and design of the system, and in order to meet the needs of subsequent course design, theoretical learning can be set to 40 hours. The course content mainly includes four modules: Essential Concept, Information Resources, Managing Information and Technology and Projects. Non-e-commerce majors mainly complete 3 modules, the specific content and schedule are as follows:
Content1: Essential Concept; It mainly includes the introduction of information systems, the evolution of information systems, the users of information systems, and the role of information in solving management problems.
Content2: Information Resources; It mainly includes database management system, system development, and system application;
Content3: Projects. This part is mainly practical content such as data capture and database creation, and the settings are selected according to teaching needs.
