Inorganic Chemistry is a core course for chemistry majors and is taught over two semesters. Inorganic Chemistry Ifocuses on fundamental knowledge, including the periodic law, modern theories of chemical structure, chemical thermodynamics, and kinetics. It also introduces students to interdisciplinary developments, recent research achievements, and emerging trends in inorganic chemistry.
Building on this foundation, Inorganic Chemistry II explores the structures and properties of important inorganic elements and compounds in greater depth, with an emphasis on applying inorganic chemistry knowledge to practical problems.
The course aims to cultivate students’ scientific spirit, innovative thinking, and sound values, integrating knowledge acquisition with value-oriented education to fulfill the fundamental educational goal of fostering virtue through education. Through participatory learning and model-based exercises, the course enhances students’ abilities in problem analysis and solving, innovative thinking, and applying theoretical knowledge to practice.
