This course is a professional foundation course in the Gem & Jade Identification and Processing program. Through the learning process, students will gain knowledge of the geological genesis of gem and jade deposits, become familiar with the distribution, deposit types, and mining methods of major global gem and jade resources, and focus on the commercial attributes of gems and jades. Students will master internationally recognized valuation methods, understand the operational mechanisms of core global jewelry trade and the synergistic characteristics of the industry chain, thereby building an integrated knowledge system that interconnects "Resources" and "Markets." The course enables students to develop capabilities in gem and jade resource analysis and market practice, achieving the learning goal of effectively bridging foundational jewelry geology with jewelry trade operations, fostering advanced cross-disciplinary competencies, and laying a solid foundation for subsequent professional studies and career development.
