C language is one of the most popular programming languages worldwide. It meets the basic requirements of modern programming, and its syntax serves as the foundation for many other programming languages. For over half a century, C language has played an irreplaceable role in embedded systems, robotics, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, big data and cloud computing.

As a core basic course for the Software Technology major, Fundamentals of Programming aims to help students master basic programming methods and establish sound programming thinking. Learners will be proficient in C programming and program debugging skills. This course lays a solid foundation for subsequent courses such as Data Structures and Algorithms and Object-Oriented Programming, and occupies a vital position in the overall teaching system. Adopting a project-based teaching model, this course is friendly to absolute beginners and helps you grow into an excellent project development professional.
