"Forest Genetic Engineering" is a very important professional course in biotechnology. It is based on courses such as biochemistry and molecular biology. It is a specialized course for recombinant DNA technology or gene transfer technology for forest trees, which is set up on the basis of genetics and molecular biology courses. Genetic engineering has enabled human beings to enter a great era of creating new organisms according to their will, and its emergence has also changed our lives. The development of genetic engineering needs more researchers and industrial technicians to study hard, so it is urgent to teach genetic engineering knowledge and train related talents. This course covers the basic theory and experimental technology of forest genetic engineering, including ten chapters: Introduction, basic principle and process of genetic engineering, enzyme of genetic engineering tools, preparation of target genes, carrier construction, establishment of forest tree receptor system, transgenic methods of forest tree genetic engineering, knockout and inhibition of expression, molecular detection and principle of exogenous gene expression, safety and evaluation of genetically modified organisms. The basic principles, techniques and applications of forest genetic engineering are described in a comprehensive and systematic way, so as to enable students to master the basic concepts, principles and techniques of genetic engineering and have an interest in forest genetic engineering, so as to lay a good and solid theoretical foundation for future study and scientific research and contribute to the cultivation of forestry scientific and technological talents.
