Epidemiology is the science that studies the distribution of diseases and health-related conditions in populations, as well as the influencing factors, strategies and measures for disease prevention and health promotion. Through this course, students will understand and master the basic principles, methods and main application fields of epidemiology; gradually establish the thinking method of recognizing disease phenomena from a population perspective, exploring the causes of diseases, and conducting prevention and control of diseases from a population perspective. This will enable students to establish the concepts of holistic medicine and public health, and cultivate students' ability to analyze and handle health and hygiene issues using the thinking and perspective of epidemiology.
