一、课程性质与目标

医学英语（EMP）课程是衔接通用英语课程与医学双语课程之间的桥梁课程，学习者在本课程中学习掌握基本的医学英语语言规律及应用技巧，同时感知医学语境下独特的历史与文化，理解“大医精诚、厚德怀仁”的深刻内涵。

二、课程主要内容

医学英语（EMP）包含导论和10个课程单元，单元主题选择基于医学生培养方案中开设的共性医学课程，聚焦医学专业基础课程与部分临床课程主题，包括解剖学、生理学、生物化学、病理学、免疫学、流行病学、药理学、诊断学、内科学与外科学等。每单元的内容版块聚焦医学生语言技能与人文素养培养，划分为医学术语、医学阅读与写作、医学历史与文化三个版块。

1. 医学术语版块注重循序渐进地讲解医学术语的结构特征、词缀源起，列举高频术语，帮助学习者克服医学英语学习的畏难情绪，打好学习基础。

2. 医学阅读与写作版块凝练医学英语篇章阅读与写作中的重点与难点，从微技能入手，细致分析与讲解平行结构、名词化结构等医学英语中的显性语言特征以及冠词的使用、标点符号的功能等易被学习者忽略的阅读与写作视角，为学习者进行有效阅读与写作提供策略指导。

3. 医学历史与文化版块将医学历史长河中的人与事娓娓道出，剖析医学健康热点现象所反映的历史、文化、社会、伦理等，引导学习者从人文视野和跨文化视角发现与思考医学健康相关问题。
