The teaching content of this course is arranged in accordance with the first-level discipline of Chemistry, balancing both "general knowledge" and "specialized knowledge". Modular teaching is adopted, which has achieved good teaching results and obtained excellent online teaching evaluations for many consecutive years. In addition, the average score of student evaluations has remained above 95 over the past five academic years. In 2021, this course was approved as a High-Quality Postgraduate Course Project of Henan Province. Offered specifically for students majoring in the first-level discipline of Chemistry, this course enables them to comprehensively master the cutting-edge knowledge and latest development trends of the discipline. It facilitates interdisciplinary integration and is delivered entirely in English. Therefore, it places high demands on students' abilities in listening, English reading, expression and other related aspects.
