This course aims to explore the invisible yet powerful particles that shape our air quality, health, and climate. In this course, we will delve into three key areas. Chapters 1 to 3 introduce the basic principles, including what aerosols are, what PM2.5 particles are, their standards, their impacts on the environment, health, and climate, as well as particle size distribution and chemical composition. Chapters 4 to 6 discuss aerosol sources, such as source inventories, source profiles, and advanced source measurement and apportionment methods like CMB and PMF. Chapters 7 and 8 cover environmental aerosol sampling and measurement techniques, as well as particulate matter and its precursor control technologies. By the end of this course, you will not only understand aerosols but also be equipped to contribute to addressing air quality and climate challenges.font
