  • An excellent course for anyone touched by MS: people living with MS, their family and friends. Also health professionals, especially those not currently working in the MS field, but who may encounter people living with MS from time to time. It gives insight into the disease and how it affects people differently, as well as common symptoms and ways to deal with the disease. Topics are covered objectively but they also help everyone understand the emotional impact, especially at diagnosis.

Plus a free certificate and the option for health professionals (and any other interested people) to purchase an enhanced certificate that might be helpful for continuing education hours/points.
  • I am a Recreation Therapist working in healthcare. While I have, and have had, clients with MS, I did not know much about it beyond the visible symptoms. I learned so much throughout this course and I now feel better equipped to support clients with MS. Everyone impacted by or supporting anyone living with MS should take this course. Thank you so much for offering it!

If you want to know more about MS, look no further! I've learnt more from this course then I've learnt from my neurologist in 3 years, from being diagnosed. The best thing is it hasn't cost me $300 a visit, its all free, only 2 hours a week and well worth it!! Its very informative & you get to hear from experts in their field. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to increase their knowledge and understanding about this terrible disease.

I recently participated in the pilot version of this course and I learnt so much! The neurologists, researchers and other health professionals presented fascinating content and the stories from people living with MS were ao honest and moving. I feel better prepared to support the people I know living with MS now, and also have greater insight into what they might be experiencing as a result of this disease.

Absolutely brilliant online course. MS is such an unknown quantity with the symptoms being so different in each person. It was wonderful finally to get a solid knowledge of the disease and the range of symptom management techniques available. It has helped me support my son with a greater understanding of what he is going through. The course is really well designed and scattered throughout the course are interviews with a range of very different people who have MS which helps put it in context as to the lived experience. I thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in learning more about MS.
  • I have completed an online course on Multiple Sclerosis, which provided comprehensive insights into the disease's causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options. The course covered both the neurological basis and patient care approaches, enhancing my understanding of autoimmune neurodegenerative disorders. This experience has broadened my perspective on MS research and the challenges faced in clinical management.

Thanks to Menzies and Wicking to enrol me to this course, actually I didn't have any idea what multiple sclerosis was, now I came to know the depth of this disease, and how to deal with clients with MS, and to spread word by mouth to people who are suffering with MS, I have gained a lot more knowledge on MS, and if in future if Menzies has other courses on MS it will be very grateful to do the course like Preventing MS.
    Much appreciated and acknowledged.

I found the course excellent. Providing a background in what is happening to my bodies central nervous system being attacked by its own immune system and suggesting ways how I can manage it.
Disease modifying therapy, goals and a well thought out plan key to managing and continuing in work and daily living.

Suitable for a global audience; this is a simple and easy to complete course with many great videos covering all of the topics. This is a great way of understanding the basics in this very complex disease and is suitable for MS patients and anyone else who is interested; such as loved ones. It really helps provide a concise explanation of the many things that are so difficult to convey to those who are not experiencing this disease directly. No knowledge is needed as this course will tell you all that you need to know. Highly recommended.

An excellent general introduction to understanding Multiple Sclerosis (MS), presented at 'layperson' level, including many discussion posts and commentary from participants who actually have personal experiences and desire to talk about that. Course material, text, and video presentations clear and understandable, with the online navigation well within the reach of the casual user of computer technology.

This course provided a fantastic overview of Multiple Sclerosis that was both easy to follow and highly informative. It did a great job explaining how MS affects the body and the different types of the condition without using overly complicated medical jargon. I especially liked the sections on managing daily symptoms and the latest treatment options available in 2026. The material was well-organized, making it simple to understand the challenges patients face and how to provide better support. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a clear and practical introduction to MS.
