    • Managing cloud costs requires a shift from traditional hardware ownership to a flexible consumption model. This module investigates the transition from capital expenditure (CapEx) to operating expenditure (OpEx), the use of the Google Cloud resource hierarchy for access control, and the tools used to provide financial visibility and prevent budget overruns.
  • Operational excellence and reliability at scale
    • Building for scale involves balancing the need for rapid innovation with the requirement for rock-solid stability. This module investigates DevOps and site reliability engineering (SRE) frameworks, the "four golden signals" of monitoring, and the use of infrastructure strategies like redundancy and autoscaling to maintain high availability and resilience.
