This course is the foundation for the Microsoft Certificate PL-900 "Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals", and focuses on the various apps which make up the Power Platform, together with how they can be used by other programs, apps and services.
I’ll show you how to sign up to the Power Apps Developer Plan for free, to give you practical access when you need it.
We’ll start with Power Apps. We will add some tables into our Dataverse using AI. We'll also use AI to create a canvas Power App, allowing for a pixel-perfect user interface, and a model-driven Power App, which allows you and the user to concentrate on the data instead of the interface.
We’ll then investigate Power Automate. We’ll look at how it can transfer data from one data source to another, while manipulating the data. We’ll look at the various types of flows, such as automated flows, which run when data has been added, and scheduled flows, which run on a calendar basis.
Finally, we’ll look at Copilot Studio, which can create agents for your customer; the AI Builder, which uses Artificial Intelligence to process things such as forms, business cards, images and text; and much more.
We'll finish off by looking at how Power Platform can extend other business solutions, and some Power Platform administration and security.
No prior knowledge is required - we'll even see how to get a free Power Platform trial!
Once you have completed this course, you will have a good introductory knowledge of Power Platform and what the capacities of these different apps are. And with some practice, you could even go for the official Microsoft certification PL-900 - wouldn't that look good on your CV, resume or LinkedIn profile? And if you are an American college student, you might even get college credit for passing that exam.
