 Foundations of Cyber Crimes is anneLearning course that provides participants with a comprehensive introductionnto the modern landscape of cyber-enabled and cyber-dependent criminal activity.nAs society becomes increasingly reliant on computers, mobile devices, andnnetworked technologies, nearly every category of crime now has a digitalndimension. This course equips learners with the knowledge needed to recognize,nunderstand, and respond to these evolving threats.nnParticipants will examine the full spectrum of cyber crimes,nfrom non-violent white-collar offenses and financial fraud to cyber-facilitatednviolent crimes, and explore how emerging technologies, including artificialnintelligence, are used both to perpetrate and to prevent criminal activity. Thencourse also highlights the roles and responsibilities of first responders andnlocal, state, tribal, territorial, and federal agencies in addressing cybernincidents.nnThrough an exploration of legislative frameworks,norganizational practices, and recommended personal security measures, participantsnwill gain a foundational understanding of how cyber crimes occur and what cannbe done to mitigate them.
