This course attempts to introduce learners to some of the fundamental texts that define twentieth century American drama. Focusing mostly on canonical texts, this course seeks to provide a foundation to the genre and the period, thereby enabling the learners to pursue the domain on their own. Through a close reading of selected texts chosen for the course, the dominant trends, themes and critical concerns in twentieth century American drama will be dealt with in detail.INTENDED AUDIENCE: Any Interested Learners
