CADS-F Digital Public Platforms & Privacy Audit Course is a 45-hour, fully online foundation-level certification Co-developed by IITM Pravartak and the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, and hosted on the SWAYAM Plus LMS. The programme has 8 modules covering lifecycle of personal data, data inventories and mapping, consent and data principal rights, the legal and ethical foundations of data protection, and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework. It further develops an audit-oriented understanding of risk assessment, audit design, institutional governance, third-party accountability, and user protection mechanisms in Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). Through theory and case studies, participants learn to identify privacy risks and apply structured audit approaches to evaluate whether government digital systems operate in a lawful, transparent, and accountable manner.

Public auditors under CAG and anyone interested in Public Audit Domain

Prerequisites

  • Public Audit (Foundation) is a mandatory course for all CADS learners. Successful completion of Public Audit (Foundation) is a prerequisite for enrolment in the DPDPA Audit domain, as it is for all other CADS technical domains. Learners are advised to complete Public Audit (Foundation) first before proceeding to this domain.

  • Week 2: Module 2: Data Inventories, Mapping, Data Anonymization & Pseudonymisation
    Building data inventories and records of processing Data-flow mapping for digital public platforms Government Data & Citizen Data Flows Anonymization and pseudonymization basics Data sharing controls and external-agency handling
  • Week 3: Module 3: Consent, Data Principal Rights Management & Ethical Handling of Personal Data
