About the Course

The Corporate Mitra course, an initiative under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), is designed to build Para Professionals in the areas of Accounting, Banking & Financial Management, Cost & Management Accounting, Legal & Secretarial and Taxation.

The course equips learners with practical, compliance-oriented skills that support MSMEs and corporate entities, creating a cadre of Accredited Para Professionals.

Objective

To develop foundational and applied competencies across Accounting, Taxation, Banking, Financial Management, Legal & Secretarial and Cost & Management Accounting, enabling learners to support businesses with accurate record-keeping, regulatory compliance and financial decision-making.
Criteria: Up to 30 Years of age

Prerequisites

  • Educational Qualification: Graduates from any recognised university, OR students currently in their final year of graduation. (The Corporate Mitra Certificate will be issued only after successful completion of graduation.)

Syllabus

  • Week 1: Accounting
    Basic accounting principles, assets, liabilities, income & expenses Journal, ledger, trial balance using the double-entry system Error rectification and bank reconciliation statements Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement preparation Digital tools including MS Excel and Tally
  • Week 2: Taxation
    Income-tax concepts — assessee, income, residential status Five heads of income: Salaries, HP, Business, Capital Gains, Others Clubbing, set-off, carry-forward & deductions under both tax regimes Advance tax, TDS/TCS deposits and e-filing of IT returns GST fundamentals, e-invoicing, e-way bills and return filing
  • Week 3: Banking
    Fundamentals of banking and financial systems for MSMEs Credit requirements and financing options assessment Digital banking, payment systems and financial technologies
  • Week 4: Financial Management
    Financial statement analysis using basic ratios Working capital estimation and corrective measures Financial documentation and compliance under professional supervision
  • Week 5: Legal & Secretarial
    Business organisation types and MSME registration Labour Codes, environmental regulations and sustainability Board Meetings, AGMs and Companies Act compliance SME listing on BSE SME / NSE Emerge; SEBI compliance MSME ODR portal for delayed payment recovery
  • Week 6: Cost & Management Accounting
    Fundamental concepts of cost and costing Element-wise cost accumulation using costing techniques Total cost determination for products and services Marginal Costing, Standard Costing & Budgetary Control
