National security is a course which is planned within the broad framework of International relations. It would cover various concepts dealing with national security. The way in which this concept has evolved over a period of time, and the second part of this course would deal with India’s concerns or Indian issues dealing with national security. Which would mean that it would include India’s relations with various states, various countries. When one is looking at international relations and national security, one has to remember that you are not just looking at various countries, states, or powers; you but you are also looking at non-state actors. It is in this context that this course has been evolved.
