ABOUT THE COURSE:
This course offers a comprehensive foundation in microfluidics, covering the physics of fluid transport at the microscale, microfabrication methods, and the design of essential microfluidic components. Students will learn how surface forces, interfacial phenomena, and scaling laws fundamentally alter fluid behavior in miniaturized systems. The course integrates classical topics with emerging fields such as electrofluidics, acoustofluidics, and magnetofluidics. By the end, learners will gain the conceptual and practical knowledge required to understand, analyze, and design modern lab-on-chip and microscale flow systems.
