ABOUT THE COURSE:
Isotopes have extensively been used in all branches of natural science for quantitative assessment of various processes. This course aims to cover fundamental concepts related to (i) stable, radioactive and radiogenic isotopes, (ii) mass spectrometric analyses, and (iii) their application in understanding geological, oceanic and climatic processes. Additionally, it will train the students in data handling and modeling techniques essential for isotopic research.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: M.Sc. and PhD students
PREREQUISITES: Basic understanding on Inorganic chemistry will be beneficial.
INDUSTRY SUPPORT: ONGC, GSI, AMD, BARC
