ABOUT THE COURSE:To facilitate urbanization and economic growth, countries around the world have invested heavily in Infrastructure development. However, physical civil Infrastructure often deteriorates with time leading to reduction in overall infrastructure performance. Furthermore, rapid deterioration and shortage of funds for maintenance and rehabilitation necessities adoption of efficient Infrastructure Asset Management practices to safeguard Infrastructure assets.This course introduces the concept of Infrastructure assets and need for their effective management. The objective of the course is to safeguard and extend the intended life of an Infrastructure asset by developing, organizing and implementing suitable management strategies.
