ABOUT THE COURSE:The Course, 'Introduction of North Indian Classical Instrumental Music' is designed to provide learners with a foundational understanding of Instrumental Music with special reference to Indian Musical Tradition. 11-introduce student to the basic concept, structure, and principal of the Instrumental Music.
The Course begins with an overview of basic musical concepts. such as Nada (Sound), Shruti, Swar, Laya and Raga at the introductory level.
A key component of the course is the classified of Indian Musical Instruments as described by Natyashastra. Student will learn about the four major categories Tat, Sushir, Avnaddha and Ghana- along with important example from each group This helps Learners understand how sound is produced and how instruments and structurally and functionally different.
Course also comes the structure and function of different Indian Musical Instruments.The Course also covers Origin and Historical development of Sitar. Student will get deep knowledge of Sitar part it's functions and it's general playing techniques with it's sitting posture and tuning methodIn addition, students are exposed to prominent Indian Instrument. Such as Sarangi, Violin, Harmonium, Flute etc. and musician gaining awareness of their contribution to Indian classical Music. Practical demonstrations, audio-visual example and simple playing techniques may be included to enhance Learning. to enhance experiential learning.
