ABOUT THE COURSE:Globally AI is transforming law and justice in many ways. India is also adopting AI in Law and Justice in For example Supreme Court of India is using AI facilitated SUPACE and greater thrust in use of AI in law and Justice. AI based tools in now part of Ecourts Modernization Phase III. Many law firms are using AI based tools while legal tech start ups are active in developing AI based products and services. The use of AI in Law and Justice while beneficial, raises many questions on impacts of AI on law and justice in theory and practice. This course provides an introduction to this emerging and important theme covering various aspects in AI, Law and Justice, including algorithmic decision making, Responsible AI in law and justice, AI and Intellectual Property Rights, and, AI, legal technology and how AI can transform Law and Justice in more than one way.INTENDED AUDIENCE: General (Students and anyone interested)INDUSTRY SUPPORT: Not applicable but this will be useful to LLB/LLM students

    This course offered a fascinating exploration of how AI intersects with law and justice. I appreciated the real-world examples and discussions on ethical and legal implications. While the content was insightful, I wished it had delved more into practical AI applications in the legal system. Some caveats included a strong focus on theoretical concepts, but overall, it was a fair course
