Service Learning is a transformative learning experience that integrates academic learning with purposeful Community engagement. The Course introduces students to the meaning of service learning, its principles, models, and ethical dimensions. Service-learning experience will help students learn from the community and understand the importance of co-creation of knowledge and solutions through mutual respect and reciprocity. Students will explore concepts such as Participatory Rural Appraisal tools, Reflective Practices, and design an effective service-learning project. The course focuses on developing 21st-century skills and enhances students' overall learning through service-learning engagements. Learning by doing allows students to build skills such as empathy, leadership, resilience, critical thinking, collaboration and communication. Through interactive activities, case studies, reflection exercises, and real examples, students will learn how to identify community needs, demonstrate co-creation solutions and celebrate community achievements. The course emphasises ethical engagement, co-learning and sustainable partnerships to promote students' learning and community impact. By the end of the course, students will be able to assess community needs, enhance their academic knowledge, engage responsibly, demonstrate civic participation and social responsibility through community - focused projects and initiatives
