You’ll look at the economics of healthcare, agriculture, labor, poverty, and the theories of Adam Smith and “the invisible hand.” Analyze efficiency models in terms of production, distribution, consumer choice, the behavior of the firm, and market structure. In addition, you’ll explore market failures and the role of government in a market-driven society, as well as looking international trade and finance.
