This specialization provides a complete foundation in the anatomy, pathology, and rehabilitation of complex shoulder conditions. Through expert-led video instruction from Rebecca Tyler (Ost.), Dr. Jonathan Kuttner (MD), and Maureen Abson (LMT), learners study the shoulder’s intricate mechanics, explore targeted manual therapy, and apply evidence-based rehabilitation strategies. Graduates gain practical tools to assess, treat, and restore shoulder health across a spectrum of conditions - from rotator cuff injuries to frozen shoulder.
Syllabus
- Course 1: Clinical Rehab Strategies for Shoulder Dysfunction
- Course 2: Rotator Cuff Assessment and Treatment Techniques
- Course 3: Massage Therapy Treatment for Frozen Shoulder
Courses

Shoulder problems can make everyday movements like reaching, lifting, exercising, sleeping, or working overhead painful and limiting. By the end of this course, learners will understand how shoulder anatomy, biomechanics, and common pathologies influence pain, movement restriction, and recovery, while learning practical rehabilitation strategies that support better function. Taught by osteopath and athletic trainer Rebecca Tyler, this course explores the shoulder as a complex and highly mobile joint system. Learners study clinical presentations of conditions such as frozen shoulder, impingement, labral tears, and other common sources of shoulder dysfunction. Through expert video instruction, case examples, and step-by-step demonstrations, learners explore shoulder assessment, movement analysis, manual therapy applications, corrective exercise, and progressive rehabilitation planning. Healthcare, fitness, bodywork, and rehabilitation professionals will gain a practical framework for evaluating and treating shoulder dysfunction, while general learners will better understand why shoulder pain can be complex and how recovery is supported. This course connects anatomy, pathology, manual therapy, and exercise-based rehab into a clear approach for improving shoulder mobility, strength, and function.

Frozen shoulder can be painful, frustrating, and slow to recover from, often limiting everyday movements such as reaching overhead, dressing, lifting, or sleeping comfortably. By the end of this course, learners will understand the stages of frozen shoulder and how massage and soft-tissue techniques can be adapted to support pain relief, mobility, and recovery through each phase. Guided by Maureen Abson, LMT, this course explains the pathology of frozen shoulder, including how pain, stiffness, inflammation, and restricted range of motion develop over time. Learners are introduced to a structured, phase-specific approach that helps match treatment goals to the client’s current stage of recovery. Through studio-filmed demonstrations, learners explore safe positioning, soft-tissue techniques, movement progression, range-of-motion considerations, and client education strategies. Massage and bodywork professionals will gain practical tools for working with a challenging shoulder condition, while non-clinical learners will better understand why frozen shoulder can take time to improve and how targeted care may support recovery. This course offers a clear, practical framework for managing frozen shoulder with greater confidence and care.

Shoulder pain can make simple movements like reaching, lifting, throwing, dressing, or sleeping on one side difficult and frustrating. By the end of this course, learners will understand how rotator cuff dysfunction develops, how to recognize common patterns of pain and restriction, and how targeted assessment, manual therapy, and corrective strategies can support better shoulder function. Presented by Dr. Jonathan Kuttner, this course explores the four rotator cuff muscles in depth, including their role in shoulder stability, movement control, trigger point formation, muscle imbalance, and compensation. Learners gain a clearer understanding of why shoulder pain often involves more than one irritated structure. Through anatomy tutorials, case examples, and practical demonstrations, learners study assessment concepts, manual therapy techniques, stretching strategies, heat and ice protocols, and movement-based recovery principles. Healthcare, fitness, and bodywork professionals will gain useful tools for improving treatment precision, while non-clinical learners will better understand why rotator cuff problems happen and how recovery can be supported. This course offers a practical framework for restoring comfort, mobility, and pain-free shoulder movement.
