Course structure

Sustainability:Think, Care, Dohas four modules:

1. What the planet needs from us now: Transformation and change (4 hrs)

2. Thinking differently: Worldviews, values and futures thinking (3 hrs)

3. Thinking systemically in a connected world (3 hrs)

4. Doing differently: Be the change you want to see in the world (10 hrs)

Each module contains a rich sequence of learning experiences: Podcasts, readings, video, interactive activities, downloadable PDFs, additional resources and opportunities to dialogue with your peer learners. In Module 4 participants will put their learning and skills into action with their Personal Practice Project. Completion of signposted learning activities will gain you a Digital Badge for this course.

Syllabus

  • Confidently express key concepts of sustainability including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 agenda.
  • Practice Education for Sustainability thinking skills and apply them within your own area of interest.
  • Actively engage in a real-world sustainability initiative relevant to your situation.
  • Apply sustainability concepts to your own disciplinary area, career path, and personal life.
