Syllabus

Demonstrate foundational understanding of critical appraisal and evidence-based healthcare, including the role of health economics in healthcare decision-making.
Differentiate and critically evaluate various types of healthcare research designs, such as randomized controlled trials, cohort studies, case-control studies, and systematic reviews.
Identify, interpret, and assess key sources of bias, confounding, and methodological limitations in clinical and economic evaluations.
Apply standardized critical appraisal tools (e.g., CASP, PRISMA, CHEERS, GRADE) to assess the quality and relevance of research studies in real-world healthcare settings.
Translate research findings into practice by evaluating their applicability, clinical significance, policy implications, and ethical dimensions in health management.
