About our course facilitator

Thais Oso

Thais started her career as a psychologist working in the favelas and psychiatric prisons of Brazil. She moved to Australia 15 years ago and has since become a prominent business educator, coach and speaker. In her current role she is responsible for the development of accredited and non-accredited courses in the areas of leadership, marketing and entrepreneurship. She also leads a team of facilitators who specialise in the delivery of experiential project-based learning and design thinking.

Outside of education, Thais is a Board Member and Executive Director of AUBRBC - the Australian Brasil Business Council - a non-profit organisation focussed on strengthening the bilateral relationship between Brasil and Australia. She is also an Advisory Board Member of Restart Us, a for profit social enterprise focussed on giving underprivileged people access to education and job opportunities.

Syllabus

  • Develop your lateral thinking and questioning mindset.
  • Expand your ability to look at things differently, musing, testing, experimenting and challenging existing thought patterns.
  • Learn about innovation and how you can use different methods to find new solutions for old problems.
  • Explore the use of the Design Thinking process for problem-solving and idea generation.
  • Evaluate information, make decisions, and create solutions for business and personal problems.
  • Review, analyse and synthesise evidence and come to well-founded responses when investigating complex issues.
