  • Antiperspirant and Deodorant
    Mechanisms and ingredients used in formulations.
  • E-Demo: Practical Formulation of Cosmetics
    Hands-on preparation of vanishing creams, cold creams, and antiperspirants.
  • Coloured Makeup Preparations
    Eye makeup, face powder, and lipstick formulations.

Week 3

  • Nail and Nail Products
    Structure of nails, product classification, and nail polish formulation.
  • Hair and Hair Products
    Hair structure, shampoos, conditioning agents, and hair colorants.
  • E-Demo II: Formulation of Cosmetics
    Video demos on lipstick, face powder, and shampoo preparation.
  • Safety and Regulatory Aspects of Cosmetics
    Cosmetic safety, Drug and Cosmetics Act, regulatory standards.

Week 4

  • Case Study of Cosmetic Cream- Interactive activities to select and analyse cosmetic formulations.
  • Final Written Assessment- Rationale for the development of a conceptual cosmeceutical product.

Syllabus

  • Apply knowledge of basic components of cosmeceuticals, quality parameters, and regulatory aspects in formulating cosmeceutical products.
  • Describe the fundamentals of laboratory preparation and characterisation of cosmeceutical products.
