AI tools are transforming how health administration professionals document patient encounters, manage administrative tasks, and collaborate with care teams. This program introduces you to two powerful AI tools gaining significant traction in healthcare—Microsoft 365 Copilot and Dragon Copilot—and teaches you how to apply them to reduce documentation burden, streamline workflows, and work more efficiently across both clinical and administrative settings.
You'll learn to use Dragon Copilot to capture patient conversations and generate encounter note drafts, apply Microsoft 365 Copilot to inbox management, scheduling, and patient-facing communication, and integrate AI outputs into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) workflows with accuracy and traceability. You'll also develop the responsible AI practices needed to evaluate AI-generated content for privacy risk, clinical accuracy, and compliance before it enters the patient record. Each course is focused and practical, with a hands-on project that mirrors real clinical scenarios.
By the end of the program, you'll use AI tools confidently and communicate that expertise to employers.
This program is designed for professionals involved in documentation, care coordination, or operations including clinical staff, clinical support teams, and administrative and operations staff. Basic Microsoft 365 and clinical documentation familiarity are assumed; no prior AI experience needed.

Clinical documentation takes time that could be spent on patient care. This course introduces Microsoft 365 Copilot for Healthcare and Dragon Copilot, two AI tools designed to reduce documentation burden and improve chart completeness in real clinical workflows. You'll build hands-on skills: generating encounter note drafts from patient-clinician conversations, reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy, and editing notes to meet established documentation standards. You'll also learn to reconcile Dragon Copilot outputs within EMR workflows, ensuring AI-generated content meets field requirements, traceability standards, and downstream usability needs. By the end of this course, you'll be able to generate AI-assisted encounter note drafts, edit them to meet documentation standards, and integrate Copilot outputs into EMR workflows with accuracy and traceability. Designed for health administration professionals and allied health staff who document patient encounters or support clinical note workflows. Basic familiarity with clinical documentation concepts and Microsoft 365 applications is assumed.

Accurate clinical documentation depends on more than generating a draft—it requires careful verification before anything enters the health record. This course focuses on reviewing and finalizing Dragon Copilot outputs responsibly within clinical documentation and records workflows. You'll apply ambient capture workflows to generate encounter note drafts, analyze them against source conversations, and evaluate note quality for completeness, clinical relevance, and workflow fit, all before EHR finalization. The course closes with a hands-on project where you'll verify and finalize a complete Dragon Copilot documentation package, simulating a real records management workflow. By the end of this course, you'll be able to configure ambient capture workflows, verify AI-generated draft accuracy, and evaluate note quality before finalizing documentation in the EHR. Designed for health administration and clinical operations staff responsible for reviewing, routing, or managing AI-generated documentation. Prior experience with Dragon Copilot and clinical documentation workflows is assumed.

Clinical office staff juggle scheduling, patient messaging, and internal communications, often all at once. This course builds practical skills for using Microsoft 365 Copilot to manage these tasks with greater speed and consistency. You'll apply Copilot in Outlook and Teams to draft appointment follow-ups, internal routing messages, and status updates. You'll also analyze daily administrative queues to prioritize tasks by urgency and dependency, and draft patient portal messages and visit summaries within approved communication standards. A key focus of this course is evaluating what Copilot produces. You'll review patient-facing drafts for readability, empathy, and action clarity before distribution, developing the critical eye needed for responsible AI use in clinical communication. By the end of this course, you'll be able to apply Copilot to routine administrative tasks, prioritize daily workflows, and draft and evaluate patient-facing communications that meet clinical standards. Designed for clinical office staff, medical assistants, care coordinators, and health administration professionals. Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 Outlook and Teams is assumed.

Using AI tools in healthcare requires more than technical skill; it requires informed judgment about data, privacy, and accountability. This course builds the informatics literacy and responsible AI practices needed to use Dragon Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot safely in clinical environments. You'll explore how Copilot outputs interact with clinical data, trace information flow from encounter capture to downstream record use, and apply responsible AI boundaries that distinguish assistive drafting from clinician judgment. You'll assess AI-generated content for privacy concerns, unsupported inference, and inappropriate disclosure, and embed verification checkpoints into Copilot workflows to support data stewardship. The course closes with a hands-on project: designing a responsible AI review checklist for your organization. By the end of this course, you'll evaluate Copilot outputs for risk, apply responsible use boundaries, and embed verification practices into clinical AI workflows. Designed for health administration professionals, clinical informatics staff, and anyone who reviews AI-generated content in healthcare. Prior experience with clinical documentation workflows is assumed.
