This session will provide updates within the Stanford system, and provide a detailed presentation on the impact of COVID-19 on the homeless population, both nationally and locally. Topics will include: “Housing is Health Care”. Average age of death in the US for homeless people is approximately 50. In 2019, the census showed homeless count was 9, 700 individuals. WA state lead the way with the first COVID positive patients. Santa Clara Homeless program is working on: Expansion for most vulnerable, including: Expansion, Mitigation, Testing, Isolation, Medical Services and Collaboration. Also discussed long term solutions, lessons learned, where are we now and what’s next?
