Mainframe Discovery Approach and Questions (Technical)

Mainframe infrastructure and modernization activities vary from customer to customer. To better gather required technical information for each modernization activity, AWS Mainframe Modernization provides a discovery approach in the AWS Assessment Tool (A2T) Mainframe Questions assessment.

 Course objectives  

In this course, you will learn to:

•  Consider customer drivers, goals, and mainframe environments.    
•  Articulate customers’ mainframe infrastructure and applications.    
•  Ask Pattern and Tool Guidance questions and Infrastructure Sizing and Cost Estimate questions.    
•  Use the Mainframe Questions assessment in the AWS Assessment Tool.  

 Intended audience  

This course is intended for:

•  AWS Partner Network (APN) solutions architects who gather modernization requirements    
•  Amazon employees who work with customers to gather required information for AWS Mainframe Modernization activities  

 Prerequisites  

We recommend that attendees of this course have:

•        Fundamental-level understanding of mainframes    
•  Fundamental-level understanding of AWS Cloud
