Dartmouth Health Continuing Education for Professionals Home, Interprofessional Grand Rounds “ The Art of Being Human: The Lived Experience of People with Disabilities, 12/17/2020 8:00:00 AM - 12/17/2023 9:00:00 AM, This presentation will include a panel discussion with staff of Inclusive Arts Vermont as well as artists with disabilities who have their artwork displayed in the Faulkner Gallery at DHMC. The panelists will be talking about their experiences with unconscious bias in the medical setting and the ways in which their art contributes to their health.

Moderator: Marianne Barthel - Director, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Arts Program
Marianne Barthel joined the Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H) Arts Program as a Coordinator in 2013 and became Director in 2018. In this role, Ms. Barthel co-manages the Creative Arts Program with the Support Services Manager at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center and chairs the Art Acquisitions and Aesthetics Committees. In 2017 the Creative Arts Program won the NH Governor's Award for Arts in Healthcare.
