CompTIA’s Security+ is a well-known, industry-standard certification that introduces the skills needed to succeed in an entry-level cybersecurity role. In this course we’ll take a look at the fifth domain of knowledge for the Security+ exam - Security Program Management and Oversight. Throughout this course, you’ll learn about the various methods that organizations use to maintain their security programs. We'll look at how organizations can use effective policies, procedures, and standards to build and maintain their security programs, including example policies and procedures that all companies should use. We'll go over how organizations are responsible for knowing and understanding the laws and regulations they are required to follow, and how they can monitor their compliance with those regulations using both internal and external assessments. You'll learn about proper risk management strategies, from identification and assessment of risks through analysis and responding to those risks, and how to manage risks associated with third-party vendors and business partners. We'll wrap up this course by looking at how effective security training for employees can help improve the effectiveness of an organization's security program and how that training needs to be efficiently developed and maintained.
