In this course, you will first go through log analysis fundamentals. The various log files, how to extract them, how they can help you during an investigation and the various log analysis tools are all documented in this module. You will then move on to timeline analysis. Specifically, you will learn how to create a meaningful and actionable timeline, that can aid your investigation. This section concludes with the importance of documentation and reporting. Upon completing this section, you will know how to write an investigation report and the important sections that should be included in it.
