Access Control Lists (ACLs) allow for packet filtering to control which packets move through a network and to where. This way they restrict the access of users and devices to a network, providing a measure of security. This course provides an overview of the ACL technology, introduces students to the general ACL syntax and explains other applications of Access Lists. Sample Cisco and Juniper ACL implementations are included to familiarize the audience with selected configuration syntax and demonstrate this technology in a live network.
